H R Session

IS HIRING THE “BEST PERSON” THE RIGHT DECISION, OR HIRING THE “RIGHT PERSON” THE RIGHT DECISION?

These were some of the fundamental questions that we got to understand, as Mr.Abhijit Bhaduri conducted the HR session, organized by JHRT 185, on 18th September 2009 at Om Niwas.

Abhijit Bhaduri is a Human Resources consultant who helps firms craft a HR strategy to reflect the business needs. Abhijit has led Human Resources teams for Fortune 500 companies like Microsoft, PepsiCo, Colgate and global firms like Tata Steel for twenty five years.

Abhijit taught Human Resources at XLRI, India’s premier Business School in Jamshedpur from 1989-94. He has been invited by bodies like Confederation of Indian Industries, Bengal Chamber of Commerce, The Indus Entrepreneurs and National HRD Network to share his views on Human Resources. He has been a panelist for several HR seminars in India, Malaysia and US.

It was our privilege to have Mr.Abhijit Bhaduri come and conduct the training session. The session was made possible through constant follow-up & efforts from Tr.Abhinav Saboo.

He made us understand through various case studies & charts the clarity between the roles of the Management, the preparation required for conducting the interview.

He made us understand the right mix between the profile of the interviewee, the job requirements & the expectations from the organizations.

GREAT ENTREPRENEUR’S OF TODAY & TOMORROW (SOME BRIGHT LADIES TOO) SHARE SOME USEFUL DETAILS ON NUANCES OF “RIGHT-HIRING” & “EMPLOYEE PRUDUCTIVITY/RETENTION”.

The session closed with an open house, where every one came out with their doubts, which were well clarified by Mr.Abhijit Bhaduri.

The ambience of Om Niwas, and the delicious snacks added to the success of the session, all thanks to Tr.Puneet Bansal.

All in all it was a good hiring experience, probably the next time we keep some driver or guard or salesman…we know what to ask.

Also a kind mentions of Tr.Ravi Goenka (JPRT 171) and the others guests who attended the session with us.

All thanks to Tr.Abhinav for his efforts for organizing the session, and Tr.Puneet for coordinating the same.
